ABOUT ME

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
A self-motivated collaborator, with a passion for design, my objective is always to deliver engaging, smart creative solutions that meet user client needs. As a Sr Art Director, I'm responsible for the development and execution of creative concepts for leading edge marketing and web solutions. This requires a deep understanding of user-centered research, copywriting, digital development and content strategy with core strengths in design and communications. In short: conceive, develop and manage an exceptional creative product.
20+ years (Yeah, that's a long time) agency experience including innovative design and strategies across multiple marketing channels including social, digital, broadcast, print, event marketing and everything in between. Creative thinker with the analytical mind of a strategist, I consider myself hands-on and prefer to lead by example and instruction. Experienced in all elements of marketing, from traditional advertising to social and emerging technologies.
My career started with an Associate's Degree in Visual Communications at Bunker Hill Community College where our class was the first to learn Desktop Publishing on the first set of Mac's. What I wouldn't do to go back and buy more stock back then. From there I landed a Graphics Communication position at a biotech company, Genetics Institute (now Wyeth) where I pursued my Bachelor's Degree at Northeastern while working full time. To the advice of many friends and family, I jumped the fence to more creative pastures when I started as a Mac Artist at Mullen and it was there that my career took shape for 19 years. Advertising evolved and 'interactive' departments were formed. Making the move to digital from print came easy for me. Honing in on digital design has been the basis of my skill set, but pleasantly crossed into many disciplines when becoming a Sr. Art Director meant integrated campaigns that apply the 'big idea' it over a wide range of platforms.
My next career move wasn't something I sought, but, it came to me, and it was the right job at the right time where I was offered a remote position working on the Bank of America account with Harte Hanks. This lent me to spend some much needed time home with family after experiencing agency life for so long. Layoffs during Covid landed me on the hunt for my next role which was a contract position at Fidelity's in-house advertising dept. This was one of my most favorite roles at a fantastic company. My original contract was for 6 months but they loved my work and work ethic and so they kept renewing my contract and 6 months and turned into 4 years. My most recent Contract role was with Bausch Health where I lived in the world of marketing for pharmaceuticals and I brought strong design skills to the table along with a collaborative spirit and professional confidence creating social, paid media, site design and some print and presentation materials.
